Make Your Move

Ever feel like an old jeep sitting in the snow? No? Sure about that?

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine the other day about God, and His will for people. We were talking about the different seasons in life. Especially the "desert" season. The one where God puts you in the desert to sweat you out for a little while. It sucks. I think we've all been there before. But the question today is how many of us leave when our time is up?

Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness, and when His time was up He left. I feel like sometimes in life, we get used to the desert, and we don't leave. We stay in our misery, and helplessness instead of getting out of there. Like the old jeep in the snow, the longer it sits, the more snow crowds around it, the more it starts to look like its environment. Becoming more of a rock, then a Jeep.

The moral of this lesson is action through discernment. We have to know when to make our move. And sometimes, making a move isn't easy. It requires faith, and sacrifice. Sometimes it requires not really knowing which direction to go, but just to go. Sometimes you just have to move because you can't sit still anymore. So don't be afraid to make your move.

I've tried a lot of different business ideas in the past, and I've tried a lot of jobs in the past as well. One thing I've learned is that when the time is right...Move. we can't be afraid to act. If it's the wrong action, God will certainly correct us to the direction He want's us to be going. However, standing still is the worst thing we can do when God wants us to get going.

Don't be afraid to try and to fail. If you go down a path and it doesn't work, double back, and find a new trail. Failure doesn't necessary come in the form we think. Failure in most cases is failing to learn the lessons from our actions, and not applying them next time. So if you go, and it doesn't work. Apply the lessons and keep moving.
