Choose Your Leaders Wisely

Good day!

We're all influenced by people. That's a fact. Also, as leaders we should all be influencing as well. That's why it's important that we choose our leaders wisely. Because the voices that we let into our heads is going to come back out. And these voices will either help us for the better, or hold us back, and send us down the wrong paths. So choose wisely.

What you need to do is a reflection on who influences you, and in the different aspects. So make a list; who's most influential in these different area's of life: spiritual, financial, political, family, cultural, and career. This isn't an exhaustive list, and feel free to add on to it. Now that you've identified who these people are, and what area they are in, ask yourself why?

Great. Now that you've identified the people who influence you, and why. Go ahead and ask yourself who influenced them? Undoubtably they are influenced as well, and know who they follow will help you understand where they are coming from. We'd all like to think that we're not easily misled, but the reality is, charismatic personalities have a way of clouding our judgement at times. Looking at their mentors will shed an objective light on where they are coming from.

With all of that complete, you should have a clear view on the people that have a voice in your life. Now you can choose to keep them or ditch them. Maybe they aren't that good after all. Maybe they are awesome. Either way, you're being cognizant of the situation. And with that you won't find yourself being sold short, by bad minds, and lost souls.
